Question of the Month

Can increase in aperture value be compensated by ISO increase (Keeping depth of field in bay for sometime)? if you can't achieve higher aperture in a lens, can you get same light by increasing the ISO?

Check out the sample pictures, First picture is F1.4 (ISO 200) and second is F4.8 (ISO 400).

These are quite same, does this mean we can avoid buying costly high aperture lens?
